URA’s taxpayer engagements in Tororo district have been boosted with the launch of a week-long sensitization drive. The exercise, which is being conducted with URA’s mobile tax office—the Tujenge bus kicked off early this week in the centre of Tororo town.
Amos Aturo the Station Head of Tororo Domestic Taxes, hailed the mobile tax office as a critical tool that will enable them to support more taxpayers.
Samuel Kanakulya, the Tujenge team lead in Tororo, echoed the call for professionalism and integrity.
“We are here to make a difference—not just in the systems we implement but in how we engage with the public,” Kanakulya said. "By upholding the values of URA—professionalism, integrity, and patriotism—we can build trust and foster collaboration between URA and taxpayers."
The drive will cover the areas of Busolwe, Malaba, Tororo Municipality, and Nagongera.
