This year's theme is "invest in women accelerate progress".
As we mark International Women's day today,we celebrate the incredible resilence and determination of women around the world.
At Small is Great -Women and Girls Empowerment ,we are particularly proud of women who have joined us on this journey of empowering women at the grass root and to improve their livilihhoods.
Their contribution reminds us the importance of supporting one another. As we celebrate the progress that has been made towards gender equality let us also recognize the work that still needs to be done.
Together we can make the world a better place to live.

Small is Great -Women and Girls Empowerment dream bank offers the productive grassroot women in Katadde and the neighbouring rural communities the opportunity to save and access loans with agreed interest rate on group basis.This helps them to accumulate loan capital .
Members save and take small loans from the money to embark on petty trading and other income generating activities.
"I used to travel a long distance to the stone quarry to do heavy duty work to enable me take good care of my children's needs particularly their education and health, but ever since I joined the women's loan and saving group, I no longer go since am able to take loans from the group to finance my new business of selling food stuffs. I thank our dear friends from Hattfjelldals,Norway for introducing to us this good intervention," says Maurisia.
