The young and rural-based University is located in Kanungu district of south west of Uganda, just 2 km from Kanungu Town along Kanungu-Kihiihi Road. It is just 45 Km from Bwindi Impenetrable forest where the whole world comes for gorilla trekking. As one heads for the University, one is able to see part of Lake Edward which is just two hours’ drive through the Queen Elizabeth National Park as one

travels through the rift valley. The University is committed to do applied research, teach well and the students to learn well so that the students understand how to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to solve community problems and consequently transform communities. The University has the duty to produce educated and relevant citizens for the socio-economic development of nations.
