It was on 28th August 1998 in mikole 1 village,Bisozi parish, Nkoma sub county,kamwenge district that the gentleman was born.
He was immediately named after his late father Matebere Eliphaz who was staying in mikole.
Due to his intellectual capacity,hard work and love for his constituency, Matebere Hagai has also come on board to represent the people of kibale east constituency, kamwenge district to the 12th parliament of uganda and contribute to the development of kibale east constituency and kamwenge district at large.
This comes after the identification of challenges which have not been worked upon by the current leadership which include;
- neglect of talents
- neglect of agriculture
- neglect of education
- neglect of people and suffer with poverty

God never forgets his people. In the time when people of kibale east constituency kamwenge district deserve better from their leaders, a courageous man from mikole 1 village, Bisozi parish Nkoma sub county, kibale east constituency kamwenge district comes on board to save them.
Matebere Hagai a teacher by profession is determined to bring development to his people by working hand in hand with all the stakeholders.
