At our 2019 “HIP HOP & HOPE” event BGirl Rain (RIP) at age 6 doing what she loved to do as others look on.
“The role of a leader is to define reality and give hope.” We are very proud of GTBU and the hip hop community for providing hope during this time in history. Through GTBUs leadership, “hope springs eternal” as manifested in quick thinking.
Hope can be witnessed daily, by just looking at our GROW TO BUILD page to see the tremendous outpouring of love by artists and teachers to the dance community, and the public through their testimonials. It is also our way of staying “in touch,” when real physical touch is not possible.

GROW TO BUILD wants our Pen Pal program to help our students improve literacy, practice writing and reading skills and learn about different cultures. The plan is to bring together inspiring adults of different backgrounds with our students to share experiences and learn from one another promoting learning, understanding, peace and global citizens.
How does the Pen Pal Program work?
1. Based on the description of what each adult does, students have written and sent their letters.
2. Our enthusiastic Pen Pals from the U.S. have written back and letters should arrive within two to three weeks!
