A social group of intelligent, responsible, energetic young men and women who take the fun to discove DU started in June 2012. We also admit students.

Discovering Uganda (DU) is a social group of intelligent, responsible, energetic young men and women who take the fun on the road/water/air to discover the pleasures of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. DU promotes and cherishes domestic and international tourism in Uganda. It has since grown both in membership and activities. DU membership and activities are open to all individuals and members of the

public from different parts of Uganda who share the above ideals. All our current members are very enterprising personalities with different professions including medicine, engineering, education, law, security, and they are all gainfully employed in both public and private sectors. In addition to road, water and air trips, DU participates in many other activities which help in supporting members’ socio-economic physical, mental growth. As such, we have a DU Football and Volleyball Teams, and have participated in numerous friendly and competitive games and sports; we also have a weekly DU Quiz in Kampala and numerous highly interactive, educative and participatory activities that are intended to add more value to our regular engagements, enhance teamwork, networking and learning amongst DU members and above all promote the love, discovery and development of the Pearl of Africa. DU also conducts both online and face-to-face debates. Due to the strong bonds that have been created and nurtured among members overtime, members are now able to support and be there for one another in times of need. DU can, on request, plan and organize discovering events including road/water trips, picnics, camping, and quizzes, for Government Departments, corporate companies, family and individual members. We can also organize and arrange for transport, accommodation, airport pickup/drop, and security for international participants in all DU activities. DU members elect a President who in turn appoints and leads Management and helps in organizing all DU activities. Currently, DU President and other members of Management are not paid a salary, benefits or allowances for their work. Join us as we learn, explore, discover and enjoy the magnificent, unlimited pleasures of the Pearl of Africa.
