Yesterday, our sister organisation, Silent World Foundation - Uganda: Empowering Children With Disabilities took 25 children from Uganda School For The Deaf (Ntinda) on a Disability Friendly Walking Tour Of Kampala!

This was in keeping with - our tool that focuses on Experiential, non-ritualistic practical learning for Children With Disabilities!

The tour was conducted free of charge by Kampala Walking Tours with the aid of Sign Language Interpreters and it was such an amazing experience for all involved!

✅✅ Smile and say hi or just let them be!
✅✅ Refer to them by their names!
✅✅ Treat them like people!

Don't be the reason a person living with a disability feels low and unappreciated!

Don't bruise the esteem, self belief and confidence of a person living with a disability!

With society getting increasingly busy, teachers end up spending more time with children, than their own parents do! A heavy burden then rests on their shoulders, of doing all they can to get the best out of children that have varied abilities!

The burden increases even more with higher education as the teachers strive to shape our career paths and lives!
