'Ewaso Nai'beri', the 'Place of cool waters' was what the Maasai called her before she was established later as a small construction camp for the Indian coolies and yet she now boasts as one of Africa's largest cities. Today, Nairobi still stands very proud of her past, having literally grown from the gifts and curses of the 'Lunatic Express' and with over a century of learning she surely knows how to keep her hustle and bustle - at the core of it all is her mobile Maasai market enjoying different locations within and around her strong brutalist colonial architectural icons.
