And just like that… the corridors feel a little quieter.
Yesterday, we clapped out our Grade 12s. Each step across campus carrying years of memories, laughter, and growth.
From first days to final goodbyes, you’ve left your mark in more ways than you know.
Go out there and do amazing things. We’re so proud of you.

Last week at the International School of Uganda was truly special 🇺🇬
Over four days, Alistair Goold from took our teachers and leadership beyond the usual, exploring practical ways to make school more fair, supportive, and respectful for every student.
From building strong communities to using circles for open, honest conversations, the focus was clear: every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.
With close to 60 nationalities in our community, it’s about more than one approach; it’s about creating a shared culture where everyone belongs.
What stood out most? The energy, openness, and genuine commitment to doing what’s best for students.
Professional learning like this is a priority at ISU, and it’s what shapes the everyday student experience. 🌍

Last Wednesday was more than just a day, it was a celebration of purpose, passion, and impact 🌱
Our Roots & Shoots Club students had the incredible honour of welcoming members of the (JGI), alongside their wider community, to ISU. Together, we marked a powerful milestone, 35 years of Roots & Shoots in Uganda 🇺🇬
From inspiring conversations to shared visions for a better planet, the day reminded us that young people have the power to create real change.
Here’s to growing roots of compassion and shooting forward with hope for the future 💚

On Thursday, welcomed nearly 250 primary students to our Arts Centre for the International Primary Music Festival.
With students from 9 international schools across Kampala, the stage came alive as young voices united under this year’s theme, “Many Voices, One Sound.” 🎶
It was a beautiful celebration of music, collaboration, and the power of students learning together.

20 lengths in the pool. 1.2km on the Leopards Trail. One shared challenge.
Last week, our and students teamed up for the very first Collaborative Aquathon, a challenge built on teamwork, resilience, and shared effort.
Students competed solo or in teams of up to three, completing:
🏊♀️ 500m swim (20 lengths)🏃♂️ 1.2km run on the Leopards Trail
Teammates divided the challenge between them or took on the full course themselves, cheering each other on every step and stroke of the way.
Events like this show the power of collaboration across year groups, where encouragement, mentorship, and shared determination help everyone go further.
An incredible effort from all our swimmers and runners — we can’t wait for the next one.
🌱 Kicking off the second semester with positive energy at our full-school assembly! We’re embracing the idea of building good in the world, and what better way to start than by planting a tree? 🌳 Our community left with a little piece of nature to nurture and grow as we grow together this semester. Here’s to new beginnings and making the world a greener place!
