We are back with the 3rd edition of the writing competition. Get engaged and improve your comprehension skills in French , it’s interesting to write but to be awarded is a great feeling🥰🥰
We are now able to extend French discussions and trainings to more students. This is all possible because the embassy of France in Uganda donated scholastic materials and ICT equipments to the Faculty of Marketing and Hospitality Management at MUBS.

Two individuals from MUBS were granted a two weeks fully paid trip to France where they will undergo intensive training in French for specific purposes. This is intended to build capacity in the French language at Centre de Linguistique Appliquée-Universte Franche Compté -Besançon,France. They will be living for France on January 1 , 2022. The scholarships were awarded by the Deputy Principal of MUBS Prof. Moses Muhwezi . Thanks to the embassy of France to Uganda.

Today the Department of Leisure and Hospitality Management, Faculty of Marketing and Hospitality Management received various scholastic materials and ICT equipments that were purchased from a grant that was given to the School by the Embassy of France to Uganda.The equipments have come at a time when online learning is the new normal for education, this is intended to promote the French language.

Day three of our French on specific purposes training is successfully going on. Lecturers from Kyambogo University, Makerere University, Kabale University and MUBS are being lectured by Prof.Paul Mendes on how to apply French on specific purposes in avenues such as media, tourism, hotels among others.

Today our club in partnership with Faculty of Marketing and Hospitality Management hosted three different Universities for a 10day training that officially started today. The training is for lecturers of French from MUBS, Kyambogo University, Makerere University, Kabale University, this training is aimed at training french lecturers on french for specific purposes (FOS).
The 10 day training is being facilitated by Prof. Paul Mendes as the expert in French for specific purposes
During the training, the Head of Department Dr.Milburga Atcero thanked the Guest of honor and all the partnering universities for coming and noted that training was funded by the embassy to train lecturers on the French for specific purposes and that different countries are using French then why not Uganda and MUBS!!!
On the other hand,Deputy Principal Prof.Moses Muhwezi applauded the French Embassy for supporting Frenchclub MUBS and the School in general to promote the language. He said an added language enriches ones ability to conduct business and connect with everyone else.
Meanwhile Assoc.Prof.Edith Natukunda from Makerere University urged students to jump on board by learning the language to enable them pursue different careers and goals.
On the same note, the Head of Mission at the French Embassy thanked MUBS for hosting and organizing the training and pledged support for any events and projects regarding French. .

Today MUBS French Club was represented by Ms.Priscilla Lamwaka who joined the rest to add there voices on the speech of President of France H.E Emmanuel Macron, the Ouagadougou Speech. They discussed about mobility and why its important.
This event also aimed at reinventing the existing relationship between Uganda and France.
