compatibility with in their local environment but which will enable them develop
both in academic an non academic terms. On its inception, it began with classes Senior one to Senior three with a population
of approximately 120 students which gradually rose to 454 by mid 1998. Among
these, 190 were boarding students and nearly 1/4 of all the students were
orphaned. Many of such students were taken on as school dependants and were
assimilated in self help School projects such as brickmaking, crop and animal
husbandry to sustain them and sponsorship in financial and material form. Support for these needy students was sought and still
is,from Local and International charitable organizations and associations as well as
individuals. A scholarship fund was Instituted in May 1998 under the Patronage of the then
Acting Headteacher, Ms. Antonia Hellen Warner purposely aimed at creating more
opportunities for gifted and academically excellent but underprivileged students. Under this avenue, the two best performing students in annual Primary Leaving
Examinations in the Sub-county Primary Schools are given a one year bursary at
the School, the best performing students in every class win themselves termly
basis and two best performing students in science at ("O" Level) also earn
themselves an annual bursary for High School.("A" Level)
