Practical, hands on learning is part of our motto at Dawn Children's Centre, and what better way to do it that taking our children on a school trip to the farm. Huge thanks and shout out to Anamkara Farm for their hospitality and for great learning experiences.

The children had a great time learning about different animals, gardening tools and how bee hives work, as well as being given the opportunity to do some digging and planting, harvesting sweet potatoes, enjoying a tractor ride and bottle feeding a baby goat.

After all that learning they were able to spend some time at Kavumba Recreation Centre playing on the playground and having horse rides.

What a wonderful day it was for all with one parent reporting, "My child was so happy. He enjoyed the trip so much he was talking and telling stories all the way home through the evening traffic jam"

Good morning...and what a good morning it is...as we celebrate the Saviour who gave the ultimate sacrifice, to die, and who rose again on the third day...

Why...that we may live and live in abundance...
Who...everyone...no one excluded...all ages, all abilities...

Happy Easter to all.

What a wonderful gathering of like minded people this turned out to be. May children with disabilities in Uganda continue to be loved and may we continue to stand together to fight for the rights they deserve.

As part of our World Book Day Celebrations at Dawn Children's Centre, we had a dress up day where children could ditch the school uniform for one day and come to school dressed as their favourite storybook character, cartoon character, profession or other. We had such a variety of great costumes we just had to share them with you.

The children had a great day of learning experiences about appreciating who we were made to be, learning about different characters and unique character traits, as well as professions and what they do.

Sit back and enjoy this montage and the beauty of celebrating our differences and the things that make us unique.
