Sponsorship Opportunities to Help Save Children's Lives in Uganda and Give Them a Free Education There is no public school system in Uganda.
Dream Nursery and Primary School is currently a free day school for 325 AIDS orphans, children of prisoners, and other disadvantaged children in the Kasenge area of Uganda who cannot afford school fees. Now that our dormitories are complete, it is also a free boarding school as well for children in dire need, adding victims of domestic violence to the above as we give them a safe haven to learn, b
e healthy, and grow. Local council officials avail us with information about the children before they are admitted at our school/sponsorship program. As of this writing, we have 325 children coming to school on a daily basis. Most need sponsorship for food, clothing, scholastic materials, and to help pay our electric bill, licensing fees, and teachers.
$20 U.S. per month sent directly to our Uganda school manager, Ronald Katongole, (or $240 per year), plus only .99 cents for each World Remit sending fee, can make an incredible difference in the life of child who has nothing. Child sponsors receive periodic photos of their child or children, and may communicate with them via Ron. Sponsors love seeing their sponsored child or children making progress in life. The journey of our school being built began on February 2, 2008, through Kathy Ozzard Chism, and her former U.S. nonprofit of over a decade, Dream One World. After many years of building classrooms, lavatories, a kitchen, a teacher's house, the structure for an orphanage on site, digging a water well that the entire community now uses, building a perimeter security wall, medical clinic, and even planting organic gardens, in late December of 2015, it became impossible for this small, loving nonprofit to send funds to Uganda due to changing international monetary laws. So the nonprofit was let go, and the project became entirely love-based. Now we depend on the kindness of individuals who work directly with us to keep our children fed, clothed, and in school. Donations are not tax deductible, yet deeply meaningful. After your sending costs, 100% of donations go to the children. We are all volunteers, taking no salaries. To start, please send a friend request to our Uganda Manager Ronald Katongole via Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/katongole.ronald.56 (Last names are mentioned first in Uganda, so you will see his page as “Katongole Ronald.”)
Choose one or more, contact Ron, and change a deserving child’s life. To see the easy process for donating through World Remit, please visit https://www.ugandadreamschool.org/donate/ The process may seem long the first time, but after your first sending, it is a breeze, as much of the info does not need to be repeated! We thank you deeply for your interest, financial help, and love for our children in need. With Love and Gratitude, All of Us
