Who We Are
We are one of the programmes of Companionship of Works Association (COWA) offering vocational skills training to all categories of people who are interested in skills acquisition for self-reliance. COWA CVTS is located in Nsambya, Gogonya Zone 1, Kabega Road behind St. Peter’s Church (Nsambya Parish)
Our Vision
To bring out mature and fully empowered youth with the capacity to improve their lives and impact positively on the society through the skills acquired.
Courses Offered
Full time / Mainstream Courses: We offer skills in: Tailoring / Garment making, Catering/Hotel Management, Machine Embroidery, Screen printing with Computer application being compulsory to all.
Short term / Modular Courses & Holiday Programme: Tailoring, Catering, Embroidery, Screen-printing, Surface Designing (Tie & Dye), Knitting (sweater), Decoration for venues, Basket Weaving, cake baking and decoration, hair dressing, events management and flower arrangement and Computer Application (CCA).
Tailor made courses: Office reception, housekeeping operations and training of house managers.
Other services offered: Outside catering, food delivery to offices, hire of chef and food service staff and hospitality consultancy.

Life Skills
Our holistic approach in the training makes us different from other Vocational Institutions. Our trainees are equipped with life skills through regular awareness trainings in: Entrepreneurship, Human / Legal Rights; Gender; HIV/AIDS; Environmental protection and Civic Education, Counseling, leadership and Communication Skills for active participation in the service of their communities.
Importance of vocational skills training to teenagers in holidays
Our holiday vocational skills training to teenagers keeps them busy preventing them from succumbing to negative peer pressure that lead them into social problems. The skills acquired are for life which when put in action are a source of income to them.
