With his insightful remarks, Dr. Richard Sebaggala emphasized the importance of delving deeper into the challenges posed by AI during the UCU Library's debate on AI and creativity.

Rather than merely addressing the surface-level issues, we should strive to comprehend the full implications and master the technology to unlock its creative potential. By doing so, we can harness AI to augment, rather than hinder, our innovative capabilities.

Day 5 wrapped up the Library and Writing Week with a fiery debate on whether AI enhances human creativity more than it undermines it. Both sides brought strong arguments, sparking lively discussions and excellent audience engagement.

The event was an epic finale that got everyone thinking deeply about the role of AI in creativity thanks to all who joined and participated!

UCU Kampala campus library staff actively involved in Library & Writing Week, helping organize book displays, writing workshops, and sessions on ethical AI use to support students and faculty in a rich learning environment.

Tomorrow at 2:00 PM, UCU Library will host a student debate on the theme "Artificial Intelligence Enhances Human Creativity More Than It Undermines It," with Dr. Richard Sebaggala as keynote speaker.

The event takes place in the HAMU Mukasa Library Learning Commons Level *2* and will also be streamed live on the Uganda Christian University YouTube channel.

We were delighted to receive a surprise visit from our esteemed Guild President, H.E. Samantha Akankunda Mwesigye UCU 27th Guild, at the HAM Mukasa Library today!
She took the opportunity to inspect every aspect of our facility, including the serene quiet zones, vibrant writing areas, and shelves stocked with an extensive collection of books.
