There are things we do not because anyone has asked us to, or is paying us to - there are things we do not just out of love, but as part of our nature.

That’s me when it comes to young people - equipping, mentoring and helping them grow is not just what I love to do - it’s part of who I am.

So over the last 6 week - I walked a beautiful journey of growth with these young people. I took a chance on them - but they took a chance on me too - most of them had only met me once before - and chose to open their hearts to grow with me …

So many online meetings, emails, assignments and WhatsApp messages later, we got together physically 😍 we laughed - we played - we danced - and yes - we ate nice food too 😂

Me that was exhausted - I was jumping like a little girl 😂 the joy and excitement of their transformation over the last few weeks - the stories of success after applying what they learnt from me 🥹 My heart is full! Not just full - alive! 🙌🏽

But it also reminded me that a few years ago, I was just like them… and someone took a chance on me - calling out greatness in me and equipping me with skills that still help me grow today! And for that, I’ll always be grateful! 🙌🏽

Here’s to raising purpose-driven young leaders and helping young people truly thrive!! ☀️✨

So what if you talk to students for a few minutes?

Here’s what;

So a life changing seed is planted in each of their hearts. A seed of hope and faith - a seed of light and love - a seed of growth and transformation.

So that as their lives contact mine, they contact the very life of God shining in me. And when the life of God is in the picture - my words cease to be just words - they become light and life - piercing though shackles of darkness and addiction, sin and shame, guilt and brokenness.

To the naked eye - this is just me speaking to students - inspiring, encouraging and equipping them. But to heaven, this is an opportunity for the life of God to break out and breathe forth into each of these lives.

They may not know when or where it happened, but in a way they can’t explain, after one interaction with me, what was once tasteless - now has a salty spice.

So yes - a few minutes is more than enough, for heaven to invade earth through me! 🙌🏽

❤️💞❤️

Late Birthday Post - because God’s been good and His girl’s been busy 🙈🫣

But I’m ever so excited to celebrate my beloved ❤️

Today I join heaven to celebrate the magnificent gift you are - in gratitude for your labor and sacrifice - especially in my life! 😭

Y’all don’t know me like he does - you see me here all composed but you don’t know half the drama in my life 😂 and to know that he saw it all - my little big head 😅 - my dramatic self 🫣 - and said YES - she will be mine - I will hold her hand and walk with her - and I will do whatever it takes to see Christ formed in her - to see her manifest on earth everything she is in heaven! 🙌🏽

Happy Birthday Prophet! ❤️

Excited about the new wine and the new grace that this unfolding season carries for you - for me - for the church and for the Kingdom of God! 💃🏼

Here’s to a bright new season! 🥛🥂
(Milk for you 😂😂 and champagne for me 🙈)

One day you’re walking through the fields, looking for something. What exactly? You’re not too sure…

But beneath the bright sky, you find something after all… A beautiful sunflower. 🌻

Thank you for being my sunflower! 🥰🥰🥰

Around this time 23 years ago, I was a 7-year-old living her best life.

Until one day, my sister and I were picked from school and driven to Mulago Hospital. Mummy had passed on.

Everyone sympathized with us - probably wondering how we were going to manage without a mother. But I wasn’t really moved. I had faith that my mother was going to rise from the dead 😅 - I held on to that faith until I was about 10… but that’s a story for another day. 😁

As we celebrate the years gone by, the best gift my mother gave me was the gift of a great father. A father who has chosen me and loved me without condition or restraint.

In a world where it was almost unheard of for a man to single-handedly raise girls, he could have easily turned us over to our maternal relatives. But without a blueprint to follow, he chose to take care of, and nurture us all by himself. Except he wasn’t by himself because all through - the Grace of God was with him.

It wasn’t a smooth journey. There were hardships yes - but he made sacrifices. Not because he had to (he would still be our father without making those sacrifices) - but he chose to because he loved us - so deeply!

Today, he sent my sister and I this beautiful message;

“Thanks for accepting and believing in me and for being wonderful children. Thanks for overlooking any of my shortcomings. By far and large, you have been wonderful daughters! ❤️ The best any father would have wished for. I have met a few of your friends, and they think I am an awesome father. They have openly said you are so well raised - and one could tell they were not flattering me but were deeply sincere.

You are indeed the crown of that commitment I made 23 years ago, and I don’t regret it. You have turned out more than I bargained for! Once more, thanks for being wonderful daughters. Many a parent desires to have children like you. And thanks for loving me always.”

To you my daddy; thank you for being a wonderful father and in many ways a mother.

You have loved me - and loved me - and then some more! A father like you - is a rare treasure! 🙌🏽

I love you daddy- so very much! ❤️

Intentionally stepped away from my usual schedule for something that matters deeply to me - equipping and empowering young people!

But they don’t get the best part - I do. I get to reflect with them - and in helping them discover who they are - I in turn discover who I am.

Empowering others - is a door for you to empower yourself! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19

This weekend was one of those filled will moments where you look up, smile and say ‘I see you Lord. I see what you’re doing! And I’m grateful! Thank you!’ ❤️
