Four United Nations agencies have committed to supporting the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, in addressing the issue of teenage pregnancies in the Busoga sub-region and Uganda as a whole.
The agencies include The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the World Health Organisation (WHO). On December 13th, 2024, they requested His Majesty the Kyabazinga of Busoga to spearhead the campaign against teenage pregnancy in Busoga and Uganda in general, and he was recognized as the National Goodwill Ambassador for engaging men and boys to end teenage pregnancies in Uganda.
