The Ministry of Education and Sports, Uganda Post Primary Education and Training Program UPPET/APL1 Project for Eastern Region has organised the First School Science Laboratory Assistants training. It is taking place at Jinja College. (13th May– 15th 2013 )
The Theme is: “Knowledge and skills of utilizing and managing a school laboratory”

Academic follow up sessions for the poorly performing students of last term are on going at the school. The subject teachers and the class teachers are available to discuss the academic progress of the students and the way forward. Yesterday and today we received S3. Tommorrow is we are beginning with S2. All the students who were invited (those with average less than 55) are to come on uniform, accompaned by thier parents. The meeting starts at 10:00am in the library. Remember that the academic board decided to raise the pass mark to 55 for S2 and if this was third term, these students would repeat the class!

Today is Evaluation Meeting at Jinja College. EOT Exams for the whole school begin tomorrow and End on Thursday next week. Students will break off for holidays on Friday 3rd May, 2013

More than half of the total student population have opted to visit their families. The visitation day of 28 March was the other way round -It is the students who visited their parents back home. All students are expected to report back on Easter Monday. Happy Easter to you all Jinja College Community
