Use your voice for kindness,
Your ears for competition,
Your hands for charity,
Your mind for truth,
And your heart for love.

He who has no belief in the Son has not the Father: he who makes clear his belief in the Son has the Father.

Recently the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to encourage the closing of orphanages around the world. They didn't say what would happen to the eight million abandoned or orphaned children currently in care facilities somewhere. Closing orphanages is a reasonable goal only if there are good alternatives. So far, very few viable options have been forthcoming, I doubt there will be. The UN is the same organization that has shut down international adoptions. It seems they are slowly taking away options from the ones who need options the most.

The shepherds saw the sky light up and heard the words of the choir of angels... They left everything to see the miracle God was bringing into the world. The Magi followed the star to see where God’s King was born. In each case, they went toward the work that God was doing… They went toward the miracle!

What about us? As we look toward a new year, where are we going?
The Apostle Paul said “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”
(Philippians 3:12 NIV)

What work of God will you go for this new year?
What miracles will you pursue?
What has God ‘taken hold of you for,’ for the new year?

If your plan is for one year, plant rice.
If your plan is for ten years, plant tree.
If your plan is for one hundred years, educate children.

Who wants to go, let go.
Those who do not know what he wants, post it.
Whoever hands offers will be accepted.
Whoever can give you a big huge with words (can words even hug) and not sure get it ever in return, yet unselfishly is able to give, they have really a huge heart.
Anyone who does not want to love, is the coward.
Anyone who dares to take the fall, is the brave.
Whoever can sometimes cry dares to love, too.

Moses began his ministry when he was eighty. Esther started hers as a teenaged girl. When she heard the words of Mordecai – ‘Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?’ – she could easily have said, ‘Give me time to grow up, get married, have children, and fulfil my dreams before asking me to put my life on the line to save the Jewish people.’ But she didn’t. She said, ‘I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish’ (v. 16 AMPC). Often what God does in you while you’re waiting is more important than the thing you’re waiting for. Sometimes you think you’re ready but God knows you’re not, so He puts you into the school of faith. That’s where you learn to listen to ‘the teacher’ (the Holy Spirit), study your lessons, pass the tests, and graduate so that God can use you. It’s not a comfortable place to be, but God is more interested in your character than your comfort. He has given you the grace to reflect the love and character of Christ, to be a light in a darkened world – for such a time as this. You have a unique place of service in God’s kingdom, touching lives as only you can do – for such a time as this.’ So here’s the question: is God telling you today – your time has come?
