Навіщо мені англійська?

А що якщо я вам скажу, що точна, чесна відповідь на це питання становить 50% успіху у вивченні англійської?

Мета (goal).

Це одночасно і першочергове, і кінцеве на шляху до оволодіння англійською.

"Навіщо?" має бути першим питанням яке ви собі ставите. Я не можу сказати, що є bad goals, а є good goals. Але є БІЛЬШ еффективні, а є МЕНШ☝️

Приклади:
"Я хочу вчити англійську...

1. "...бо всі розмовляють, а я ні"
2. "...бо це модно"
3. "...бо я вчу її вже все життя і ніяк не вивчу"
4. "...бо мені завжди потрібно щось вчити, це гарно для мого мозку"
5. "...бо я хочу отримати кращу роботу в міжнародній компанії"
6. "...бо я хочу імігрувати в англомовну країну"
7. "...бо я хочу розуміти все, що говорять в фільмах і серіалах"

Як гадаєте, які тут "більш ефективні" цілі? 1 чи 5? 3 чи 6?

"Ефективність" мети характеризує її чіткість, тобто наскільки вона деталізована. Бо нашому мозку потрібні конкретні установки, а не загальні, розмиті. Плюс, це робить мету досяжною.

Наприклад, моєю першочерговою метою у вивченні англійської була "можливість читати класиків у оригіналі, таких як Ч.Діккенс, С. Моем, Е.Хеммінгуей."

Це відчуття...коли ти, нарешті, читаєш книгу без перекладу, так як її писав автор, коли отримуєш доступ до його думок без "посередників" - це неймовірно. Це мене мотивувало протягом всього шляху вивчення англійської, це було варто всіх тих годин, безкінечних вправ, нових слів і грошей, 100 %.

"Imagine..."

Imagine you are on a remote island with unbelievable nature. It's paradise, like in all those movies you watched and thought: "One day I will be there."

And now you are.

You got away from the noise and crowds to calm your mind and soul. You don't know anyone, and nobody knows you. Perfect. Exactly as you dreamed.

You started to smile more often. Your daily walks along the beach silence the anxious thoughts in your head and make you happier.

Now, it is one of those strolls. You are walking your habitual route: along the sandy beach towards the golden sunset.

The sea is peaceful, almost still. Small, pleasant waves touch your feet with warm water and wash the sand around your toes. You are holding the hand of your loved one. You are not talking - you are listening to the sounds of waves, seagulls, and occasional breezes filled with the freshness of freedom, peace, and life.

Breathe in, breathe out, and close your eyes to feel it. It's real, it's tranquil, it's happiness.

You are there, You are Happy..

Мій основний принцип у викладанні:

"Викладай так, як хотів би щоб викладали тобі". І ось протягом більше 10 років вже, цей принцип мені допомагає викладати англійську якісно, цікаво та ефективно.

Who is RuslanTeacher?

1. I like new things (e.g. technologies, AI etc), but sometimes I can be quite conservative (e.g. I will always prefer classical hot dog to all other variations).

2. I love good stories, whether it is a movie, a book or a video game. History of humanity (людства) is built on stories and some of them are older than we think.

3. I enjoy teaching because it gives me a feeling that I do something important by helping people to achieve (досягати) their goals. Moreover, I learn a lot from my students, since everyone has his or her story to tell.

4. I love cats. I have two: Dexter and Adele.

5. I would always choose coffee over tea.

6. I have been afraid of many things since my childhood, and some fears still impact (впливати) my life. On the one hand, they (fears) made me a cautious (обережний) person, which, I believe, has helped me a lot. On the other hand, sometimes fears stop me from living the life I want to, but I am working on it.

7. My wife is my best friend and my muse. I wouldn't become who I am if it wasn't for her.

8. In childhood, my favorite actor was Jean Claude Van Damme. Now, it is perhaps Cillian Murphy

9. I prefer fiction and my favourite book is
"The Picture of Dorian Gray". I've read it 5 times, and one of the reasons why I wanted to learn English was to be able to read this masterpiece in original.

10. I want to learn Spanish.

11. My favourite season is fall with its yellow trees and fresh, rainy, a bit melancholic days.
