The number 1 only has one factor, so it’s not prime.

Solve 48 × 25

In maths, there is often more than one correct way to solve a problem.

Method 1 - Traditional multiplication
Method 2 - Break it apart:
48 × 25 = (50 × 25) - (2 × 25)
Method 3 - Use fractions:
25 = 100 ÷ 4
So:
48 × 25 = 4800 ÷ 4 = 1200

Why is this important?

Cycling
