📢 Today marks the last working day of Oksana Makota at the Institute of Geotechnics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice.
👩‍🔬 Since 1 March 2022, Oksana has been an important member of our team. She first joined us through the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic 🇸🇰 and later continued her work with support from the Recovery Plan grant for Ukrainian researchers displaced by the war 🇺🇦.
🔬 Her research focused on the photocatalytic degradation of antibiotics 💊 and dyes 🎨 using various oxide-based materials. This is an exciting and highly promising direction with strong relevance for environmental protection 🌍 and water treatment 💧.
📚 The completed studies and resulting publications are valuable contributions to this rapidly developing field.
💙💛 We are very sorry to say goodbye to Oksana, but we sincerely hope that this is not the end of our collaboration. We look forward to new projects 🤝 and future scientific cooperation in this important research direction.
