My name is Ira. I'm a TEFL & TESOL certified teacher with hundreds of teaching hours! I have been teaching English, Russian and Ukrainian to foreigners for over 6 years. I have taught children as young as 3 years old, and various other children at different levels. I have taught languages to adults from entry-level to proficiency. I also have a degree in technical translation and international law
. I adapt my methodology according to each student's abilities and unique requirements in order to ensure that the most value is gained from each and every lesson. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the teaching process, from creating new and interesting lesson plans to seeing students develop in confidence and ability as our lessons progress. I also endeavour to share useful grammar advice, idioms, and vocabulary in every class so that my students will speak in a natural, fluent and confident manner. I've taught more than one hundred students online and offline, one-to-one and in groups. I’ve met a lot of interesting language learners from different countries! This is Kader Lafia Kora from Benin, West Africa. Kader started learning English to travel and get better job opportinuties. Benin is a diverse country linguistically. A total of 55 languages are spoken in Benin, with 50 being indigenous. Of those, French is the official language, and all the indigenous languages are considered national languages. ✔ This is Thai, my student from Vietnam. Thai lives in Hanoi where he works as a software engineer.
✔ English is the lingua franca of the world and the main language of the software industry. So it’s a good choice for engineers who want to become internationally competitive.
✔ There are certainly many nuances to teaching English to East-Asian students, yet there are specific areas that often trouble these students such as phonemes, adding and dropping sounds, dropping words.
✔ I have had a lot of students from China, Korea and Japan. Thai is my first student from Vietnam. I started teaching him four years ago.
