For the second year in a row, the team at our training school in Ukraine organized a fundraiser on St. Nicholas Day. We collected 16,525UHA (roughly $400 USD) to give toys, chocolates, sweets, and biscuits to orphanages, newly single-parent households, and rehabilitation centers. It is a great privilege to be able to give back to our local community and to be received with open arms. Well wishes and happy holidays to all! 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇦

Becoming an expert in manual mine clearance (MMC) doesn’t happen overnight. This skill takes extraordinary attention to detail and strict adherence to process. When students first learn MMC, it might take a whole day to investigate a single square meter. With experience and stamina earned over time, a skilled technician can achieve a pace of 9-10 square meters per day.

📸 Here, students from the State Special Transport Service of conduct visual search—step one of the MMC process.
