The meat of various crustaceans is usually rich in calcium and protein, but it is low in calories, which makes it a dietary product.

Many representatives of this group are very aggressive, especially in relation to competitors. Crabs, for example, during the mating season often fight over the female, and the victorious male can easily eat the loser.
Oddly enough, but crustaceans have more genes than any other inhabitants of the Earth, including humans - about 30,000.
Lobsters lack the aging gene. This feature of them made them the object of close attention of scientists.
Male crabs sometimes try to eat the female partner immediately after the mating process is completed, so the latter immediately flee.
Crustaceans have good regenerative abilities. They can even regrow lost limbs.
