The first solemn report-opening of the conference.
▪️TOPIC: FLOWERS ON A DARK BACKGROUND. DOCUMENTARY FILM IN TIMES OF HISTORICAL CHALLENGES
▪️SPEAKER: IRYNA PRAVYLO – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Film and Television Directing and Dramaturgy of the Institute of Screen Arts of the I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television; Documentary Film Director (Kyiv, Ukraine).
Iryna Pravylo’s film “Flowers on a Dark Background” combines three stories that intersect in the spring of 2022 in the Kyiv region. The film was selected to participate in the “Best International Documentary” nomination at the Carmel International Film Festival in California and many other film festivals around the world.
🔺 12:00 – 13:00 – ONLINE/OFFLINE (Kharkiv, 11 Mystetstv St., KhDADM, HudpromLoft shelter) – Presentation of the interdisciplinary art project “INSTRUCTIONS: artistic dialogue between Antwerp and Kharkiv” (Ukraine-Belgium).
With the participation of students and teachers of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (Ukraine) and Sint Lucas Antwerpen (Belgium).
🔺 13:00 – 14:00 – break.
🔺 14:00 – OFFLINE (11 Mystetstv St., KhDADM, HudpromLoft shelter) – Open CREATIVE MEETING with the outstanding film director, cultural and public figure – OLES SANIN.
Oles Sanin – is a Ukrainian film director, actor, cameraman, producer, musician and sculptor. He is a cameraman of several documentaries, director of a number of documentary and feature short films. Among Sanin's most famous films, it is worth mentioning the film "Mamai" (2003), which was nominated by Ukraine for the Oscar. Laureate of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko State Prize of Ukraine for the film "Mamai" (2003), winner of the Silver Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the Silver Medal of the Lumiere Brothers. Director of the feature films "Povodyr" (2013), "Dovbush" (2023).
