On June 8, 2021, the results of the authoritative world ranking of QS World University Rankings 2022, compiled by the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds based on the analysis of the 2020 figures were published. According to the results of the rating, Karazinsky University won the first place among Ukrainian ZVOs and position 511-520 on a global scale.
In total, the ranking included 8 Ukrainian universities:

🔶 Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (601-650);
🔷 National Technical University ′′ Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute ′′ (651-700);
🔶 National Technical University of Ukraine ′′ Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute ′′ (701-750);
🔷 Sumy State University (701-750);
🔶 National University ′′ Lviv Polytechnic ′′ (801-1000);
🔷 Ivan Franko Lviv National University (1001 +);
🔶 National University ′′ Kyiv-Mohyla Academy ′′ (1001 +).
QS World University Rankings is one of the most influential and topical university rankings, alongside the Shanghai Academic Rankings of World University and Times Higher Education World University Ranks.
The level of achievement of universities is evaluated based on the results of a combination of statistical analysis of educational institutions, audiovated data 📊 (in particular, information by the Scopus database index), as well as data from the global expert survey of representatives of the international academic community and employers.
Higher education institutions are estimated at the following indicators:
✅ reputation in the academic environment (40 %);
✅ citation of scientific publications by university representatives (20 %);
✅ ratio of teachers and students (20 %);
✅ the attitude of employers to graduates (10 %);
✅ relative number of foreign teachers and students (5 % each).
