Study in Finland 🇫🇮

Step 1: Find Your Program
Use Studyinfo.fi or individual university websites to choose a program you're interested in.

Step 2: Know the Admission Info
Check eligibility, process, deadlines, and required documents on Studyinfo.fi.
Contact the Admissions Office for any questions.

Step 3: Apply & Look for Scholarships
Apply on Studyinfo.fi within the deadline.
You can also apply for Finnish Government and University scholarships.

Step 4: Wait and Confirm Your Place
Wait for the admission results.
Confirm your spot once accepted, but remember you can only accept one offer.

Step 5: Get Ready to Move
Apply for a student residence permit if you're from outside the EU/EEA.
Plan your budget for living expenses.
Find out about and apply for student housing.
Prepare required travel documents.

Key Dates
Traditional universities: Admissions start in December.
Applied sciences universities: Admissions open from September 4th to 13th.

Additional Tips
Be careful with the details you provide on the application; errors are your responsibility.
No need to visit consultants; all info is online and free.

Requirements
IELTS: Minimum 6.5 band.
CGPA: At least 2.7 preferred but can be compensated with job experience.

Other Notes
Work on your Statement of Purpose (SOP).
If you're a student in the final semesters, you'll need a Hope certificate.
Attest your degrees and certificates.
30 hours work per week is allowed during studies, however there are some exceptions. Students can work full time during holidays.

Expenses:
Student apartment rent: 250 - 330 euro per month (including Electricity, water bills)
• Grocery Expense: 100 - 150 euro per month.
• Travel Card: 65 euro for 2 zones valid for 30 days (HSL)
• Average: 400 - 500 euro per month.
• Average Student Earning: 900 - 1200 euro per month.
