Meeting of two Oceans
Then the tour continues in the direction of the Garden Route and you visit Cape Needle, where the two oceans - the Atlantic and the Indian - meet. Even if you didn't know that this is the meeting point of the two Oceans, you would still feel that the place is something remarkable. It looks very powerful.

You can tell which ocean is which by the algae. In the Atlantic Ocean you will see a huge amount of floating algae that look like bull's tails, while in the Indian Ocean they are completely absent. By the way, this algae does not mix between the Oceans.

The magnificent beach is 40 km long and gives you the perfect opportunity for a long hike. Your surfing experience depends entirely on the weather. If the weather is not for surfing, then you have a great walk. The two Oceans at Cape Needle can safely be described as raging. The main menu at the local restaurant is, of course, freshly caught fish and very deliciously cooked calamari. Although they are cooked in a deep fryer, which is not a very healthy way to cook food, but in the case of calamari, this is worth turning a blind eye to. They are very tasty. By the way, all this is not expensive. Compared to Russian prices, local restaurant prices can be safely called low.

Then the journey continues to the very famous town of Hermanus. It is a small, beautiful suburb, famous for its whale games. But again, whales don't play or emit their famous scream all year round, you can only see it in the spring. The rest of the year you will have to be satisfied with the views of their tails on the surface of the water. The town is really beautiful, the main color of the buildings is white. Great beach for surfing and other water sports.

And what mountains you will see on the way. It seems, well, what can be so special in the mountains. You will not believe it, but they look like in a fairy tale movie or a cartoon. It's just like painted, props, with some paws stretching on the ground.

The next morning after breakfast, the journey to False Bay continues through Simon's Town, a place where you can see penguins. Unfortunately, during the summer period only in very small numbers. By the way the ones you will see do not look like traditional penguins - big and black and white. These somehow small and strange gray coloration. Maybe they are penguin babies, abandoned by their parents to the mercy of fate?

On the shore of False Bay is a very popular surfing beach, there is a specialized school for girls (of course, this place is safe in terms of sharks). In the morning you will have the opportunity to continue your training.

As soon as you feel signs of fatigue or hypothermia, you can have a hot cup of coffee and a pastry, or lunch. It all depends on your desire.

After your first lesson, you can continue your journey to the Cape of Good Hope, have lunch at the fish restaurant on the very top of the cape, or drink a cup of coffee. It doesn't matter anymore.
The combination of mountains, sea cliffs and beaches could make your walk an arduous physical ordeal if not for the availability of the cable car. But your feet will be your main help in exploring this promontory.
You can stay overnight at a hotel in the resort area near the surf beach. The cost of lodging varies around $30 per person per night. Almost all cottages are located 50-70 meters from the Ocean. By the way, this is not the closest location. There are many places where the distance is less than 10 meters. For a group of 6-8 people a night in such a house will cost $150.

The trip starts in Cape Town. Of course, it all depends on how you feel after the flight. But if you have no problems, you can immediately go on a sightseeing tour of the peninsula.
Almost all of the west coast of the peninsula - this is the Atlantic, it abounds with excellent beaches for surfing and kiting, designed for different levels of training. this is not surprising since this coast is completely open to all winds.
Water Sports CenterThe southern part of the peninsula has the second surfing beach after Durban, which is one of the top ten in South Africa.
Of course, there are equipment, wetsuit and instructor rentals available here. Rental prices may vary, so in the Cape Town area it will cost approximately $ 40, including the instructor, but further along the coast is cheaper. The lesson itself - an hour and a half, and then you're on your own until you freeze. No one will take your board away from you or your suit.

It may or may not be a secret that South Africa is one of the top five countries for surfing and other water sports. And if the leading countries such as Indonesia and Australia are just teeming with athletes, and also sharks, then South Africa is, fortunately, a little freer of athletes, but not of sharks.

As for the shark issue - of course, we cannot say that South Africa is safer than other countries. A coast rich in underwater marine life is always surrounded by sharks. But there are a couple or three places on the coast of South Africa where sharks do not go, or rather, shark visits to these places are not registered. In some cases because of the size of the bays themselves. That is, of course, they can go in, but they cannot turn around and go out. So they stay away, which of course is great and tourists quieter. That's where you should spend your vacation.
