Today, practicing yoga has become a fashionable and popular way to keep your body in top condition, and creative people are experimenting with new ways of yoga. Aerial yoga is just one such way. It combines traditional asanas, but they are done with special equipment - on a hammock suspended from the ceiling - so that it gives the impression of flying. Many poses that are difficult for an unprepared person are much easier to take in aerial yoga.
Yoga asanas were developed in ancient times, and since then no one has dared to somehow change or improve them, since it seemed to everyone that they were already perfect. But there were experimenters who came up with a way to improve the ancient practice! One Broadway dancer came up with the idea of hanging a fabric hammock from the ceiling and performing asanas with it. It turned out that it is much easier to accept many of them in this way, besides, the unusual feeling of flight is something that inspires in a very special way. Having appeared in America, aerial yoga is rapidly conquering the world, it is already quite widespread in Europe and has already appeared in Russia.
Aerial, or anti-gravity yoga, just like ordinary yoga, is able to develop flexibility, relieve stress, promote the acquisition of good comprehensive stretching for all muscles in the body, and also develop endurance and dexterity. Those who practice this system lose the fear of heights, improve blood circulation, develop a sense of balance, the vestibular apparatus becomes less sensitive to various shaking and swaying. In addition, this is a fairly new kind of yoga, so experiments are being conducted here with might and main. If you are used to being creative about everything, then this type of physical activity seems to be specially created for you. There is where to apply your creative inclinations. People who love dancing and aerial gymnastics will be able to make sure that everyone, including themselves, is able to gracefully and beautifully perform various exercises in the air.
Usually people are at first a little afraid to sit in a hammock, at first they want to get comfortable, to swing. Then the person relaxes, there is lightness and the feeling that the body is truly free. Poses that can be taken in aerial yoga can not only turn the body upside down, but also make you reconsider some of your own feelings. It turns out that what until now seemed unshakable and permanent may be quite different. Aerial yoga liberates not only the body, but also the mind.
