ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠 𝕒𝕘𝕒𝕚𝕟 ☼♡

It was a bit quiet here the last weeks for several reasons.
On the one hand, I have worked very much in the last days before my departure. In addition, I wanted to enjoy the last time with my family and friends fully.

Now I am in Zanzibar since one week - finally back, finally at home again, united with my love, my friends, and my animals. ♡

The first week was busy. I moved from the hotel to a house, welcomed new family members, met friends, looked for a new apartment, and waited five days for my suitcases because they got stuck on the outbound flight in Europe.

Now it will be a little quieter, hopefully. I am still looking for an apartment, but at least my suitcases have arrived.

Now I enjoy life here, the sun, the beach, the sea, the people, and all that surrounds me.

𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 ✺

The day of departure is coming soon 😍
When precisely, I can not yet reveal because some people do not know the date, and it should remain so that I can surprise them.

But I slowly feel that I am getting nervous. It is a positive nervousness. Anticipation that I will see my loved ones again in Zanzibar🇹🇿 and anticipate that I will soon be reunited with my cats 🐈, even if the cat family has become much smaller due to sudden cat death.
Anticipation of the sea 🌊the palm trees 🌴, and my beloved coconuts 🥥.
Looking forward to feeling sand under my feet again and the joy of not having to wear shoes anymore.

For six months, I have been waiting to return to this beautiful island. The time went in between in-flight and then again very slowly. Now I can hardly believe that it is only a few days or weeks until I return.

Now it's time to pack all my things and prepare for my trip. 👙🧳🩴

5⃣ 🅵🅰🅲🆃🆂 🅰🅱🅾🆄🆃 🅼🅴

➣ I made a Spanish language study trip in 2010 🇲🇽, and since then, I have spoken Spanish fluently, and it's easier to express my emotions in Spanish than in my native language german

➣ I need at least 25 degrees to say it is "warm." ☀️Anything below 25 degrees feels cold ❄️

➣ When I was a child, I wanted to be a mermaid so I could breathe underwater and be in the water for hours 🧜🏼‍♀️

➣ If I meet new people, I'm initially a shy person, but with time, I turn into a very open, humorous person with many crazy ideas 🏄‍♀️🧗🏊‍♀️

➣ I'm not particularly eager to take photos of myself, but I love to take pictures of everything and everyone around me 📸

You are my rock; you are my best friend, the best listener, the person with the best advice. You always have an ear open, and I can always use your shoulder to cry on if I need to. You are always by my side; you support me in all my crazy ideas and hold my hand through my journey.
You give me new strength, courage, hope, and unconditional love every day, and I don't want to miss a single day of having you by my side.
Words can never describe how much you mean to me and how grateful I am to have you as my mother 🙏🏼💙

To all the women, moms-to-be, new moms, and those who already have a lifetime of experience as moms - you rock!!! No one can ever hold a candle to you - you are fabulous, fantastic, and the strongest people I know!

And remember, even if it's not always easy, even if we don't always agree and there are many disagreements and discussions, especially in the younger years. There is no more important person than our mom!

𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 ♡

Some time ago, my mother asked me if I wouldn't miss the Swiss mountains if I'll go to Zanzibar.

My answer was: "𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆". ♡

𝐖𝐡𝐲?
I spent a lot of time in the mountains as a child because my mother's family lived there. In my youth, I took distance from it because it was always too cold 😅 and too far away.
But now, in adulthood, I have learned to love the mountains and their surroundings anew.

I love to look at them in all their beauty and size - With snow or covered with green as the trees and flowers sprout.
I look at the size and shapes, and it fascinates me how something can be so beautiful and at the same time have an expression of power and strength.

And it is precisely this power and strength, this feeling of freedom and tranquility, that always attracts me.

I know that I will miss the mountains and much more, but I know that in Zanzibar, I have so much around me that fulfills me. The greatest of all, my source of energy - the sea 🌊

We will see if I will be homesick, how strong it will be and how I will deal with it 😀

➢ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 to be alive and healthy
➢ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 to be able to realize my dreams
➢ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 to have such great people in my life
➢ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 to have such a wonderful family

Today is my birthday, and until this morning, I thought I would spend my birthday alone, as I wrote to you in my post yesterday.

But my mom, my super heroine, my rock, my role model, my best friend and my absolute favorite person in this world, has proven today once again how powerful she is and that there is nothing stronger and more significant than a mother's love 🙏🏼

Despite illness and weakness, she has risen, bundled all her energy, and spent today with me. For her, the idea that her daughter spends her birthday, such a special day alone, was not satisfying.

Today we followed the plan I had when I thought I would spend the day alone.

It's that time of year again; in not even ten hours, I'll be turning 32 years old.

With my birthday come many intense hours of reflection. Reflection about my last year of life, or rather my whole life. Thoughts about what I have achieved, what I have not succeeded in.
My birthday, besides the reflection, is always very emotional for me.

I have always loved celebrating my birthday, celebrating my parents for the beautiful gift they have given me - life!
I loved to spend the day with my loved ones and just celebrate life and where it has taken us.

But this year, everything is different. There is no celebration because my parents are sick with Corona, my friends are working or on vacation, and my boyfriend is on the other side of the world. So it is the first year that I will celebrate my birthday alone.

So I decided to surround myself in a place where I feel comfortable, one that gives me strength, and exactly there, I will celebrate my birthday tomorrow.

Until now, I felt rather sad, but I know that when I am in that place tomorrow, I will feel free, energetic, and happy.

For me, it is so much easier to see the good in others than the good in myself.

No matter what situation arises, one of my greatest strengths is always to see the positive and good in a person - because each person is unique in their way.
Every person makes mistakes in their life, but to see past these mistakes and still see the beauty in every person is a gift.

However with myself, I have my difficulties. I quickly focus on the opposing sides, my mistakes, and my possibilities for improvement.
For years I looked at myself as if I were not enough. My Lack of self-love has to do, among other things, with my experiences and my lack of self-confidence.
It is daily learning and every day working on oneself to redirect the focus.

Today, on one of my good days, I can say that I know I am enough, that I am lovely the way I am. But we all know it; there are always days on which one fails.

My big goal is to minimize such days and to learn to be at peace with myself, appreciate myself, and love myself as I am.

I have started a new morning routine.

I usually came home after my night shift and went straight to bed. I slept or lay in bed all day before I got up to eat, shower, and go to work again.

Now I go for a walk with my mom every morning after my night shift. At least 30-45min brisk walk before my body then totally tired but somehow still energetically charged falls into bed.

And it feels 🅖🅡🅔🅐🅣 🙏🏼
