The JTTI is a small tourism-training institute in Jambiani (Zanzibar, Tanzania), set up by Patricia Elias and Dr. Alastair Pirie from Canada and sponsored by their NGO Hands Across Borders Society. The main purpose is to address the lack of skills within the local tourism and hospitality industry and provide education to the locals of Jambiani and the surrounding villages.

As many of you all know now, we have had to close the JTTI because of financial restraints not of our own making. We very much want to continue with this project but until we can afford to do this we must wait. We have started a fund raising campaign so we hope this will help in part to get us to a point where we can get up and running again.
