A historic weekend in Lexington for the Taipei Tigers!

Taipei American YL finishes as quarterfinalists in Policy Debate at the 2025 TOC, the first international team to advance to elimination rounds in the 53 year history of the tournament.

They also earned recognition as top speakers with Dylan L. finishing as 4th speaker and Jordan Y. finishing as the 1st speaker!

As the 2024-2025 regular season comes to an end, Taipei American YL finishes 3rd in the NDCA Baker Cup standings🥉

Congratulations to Jordan and Dylan on a season that included finishing as Champions of Digital 3 & the Cal Round Robin, Semifinalists at Berkeley, Blake, and Glenbrooks, and Quarterfinalists at Greenhill 🏆 On to the postseason!

After an inaugural year that featured schools from Taiwan, Vietnam, China, and the United States, we can't wait to welcome you to our beautiful island in October 2025!

We are excited to offer competition in Public Forum Debate (TOC bid - Finals), Policy Debate (TOC bid - Finals), World Schools Debate, Congressional Debate (TOC bid - Top-6), and speech events (historically, platform events and extemp/impromptu have a larger following in Taiwan, but we can offer interp if there is sufficient interest)!

Our tigers shined at the first in-person tournament of the season! Jordan Y. And Dylan L. finished in 6th place in the Policy Debate Round Robin and in Quarterfinals of the regular tournament, earning their first TOC bid of ‘24-‘25 🏆 Dylan was also recognized as the 15th speaker! Proud of all of our tigers for how they worked together as a team this weekend in Dallas!
