蛤? 暑假還要去考試!!!
這個暑假, 我們觀音一姐--黑糖 也是沒閒著,
除了吃喝玩樂睡以外,
還跟三個管理員到屏東科技大學工作犬訓練中心參加考試,
感覺很像人類的演員訓練班, 有各種情境模擬,
陌生人陌生狗都有,
其中最難的.....
就是考試時不能吃零食!!!(心很累啊~~)
不過, 姐還是通過測驗, 可以成為學習輔助犬啦!!

大家還記得暑假時因為車禍斷腿來觀音國小養傷的小黑妹嗎?
在台灣瑪莉愛狗協會的努力照顧及教育之後, 終於等到了她的緣分,
飛到荷蘭的新家庭了.

Laine absolutely loves her forever home in Europe. She is one spoiled lady and a real daddy's girl. She goes everywhere with ehr new family and is really loving life.

Her family love her so much and couldn't have asked for a better furry family member.

Lucky Laine has a wonderful home waiting for her in Europe. Even though she now only has 3 legs her new family can see past her small disability and wants to show her all the love she deserves. 發生車禍的女孩Laine
Laine the car accident lady

一名老師在居住社區內救援了可憐的小Laine，雨天時Laine會睡在車底下，某天她還睡在車底時車子啟動，她的腳就被車子壓過。這名老師不能就此看著她帶著痛楚並跛腳行走，於是帶她到獸醫院進行治療。由於腳的傷勢過於嚴重沒有辦法治癒，於是必須為她截肢。這名老師幫她安排手術並且於康復時期照顧著她。

Poor little Laine was rescued by a teacher who saw her around her neighborhood. Laine would sleep under cars on rainy days and one day the inevitable happened and her foot was run over. The teacher couldn’t just stand by and see her limping and in pain and so she took her to the vet for medical attention. At the vet a part of Laine’s leg had to be amputated as it was beyond repair. The teacher arranged this for her and also took care of her while she recovered.

She was able to stay at the school for a while and many of the students loved to play with her. However, some of the parents and other teachers felt it wasn’t good to have a dog at the school. This is a sad state of affairs in Taiwan, where many parents and teachers feel it isn’t “safe” to have dogs around children. We wish more schools in Taiwan could teach compassion and let children who don’t grow up with pets at home have the experience of helping an animal. Children can learn so much form animals.
出院後他在學校住了一陣子，有很多學生很喜歡跟他玩。但有些家長和其他老師並不允許校園裡面出現狗狗。這是台灣會出現的一種很令人難過的現象，很多老師和家長認為小朋友跟狗狗相處是「不安全」的。我們希望台灣有更多學校能夠教導孩子們同理心，讓沒有跟狗狗們一起成長的孩子在學校能有幫助動物的體驗。孩子們可以從動物身上學到很多。

The teacher asked us for help as she had nowhere for Laine to go. We met Laine and with her sweet personality we felt that we could help Laine find a loving home, even with her slight disability.
這位老師請我們幫忙，因為她實在找不到地方照顧Laine了。我們和Laine見面之後，發現她的個性親人又友善，我們認為即使她身體有些殘缺，還是能夠為她找到幸福的新家。

Laine has already had part of her leg amputated. However, our vet feels as she is so very young, she will have problems with this at a later stage if a portion of her leg is left. She may use that portion to stand up, which can cause abrasions and also swelling later on. So with the advice from our vet, we have decided to amputate further so as to minimize complications later on down the line.
Laine已經截除部份的腳，然而獸醫院認為她還非常年輕，擔心未來這部份未截除的腳會造成走路問題。因為她可能會用這隻腳站起來，因此會造成摩擦或者腫脹。與獸醫院討論之後，我們決定進一步截除她剩餘的傷肢已盡可能降低往後生活造成的更多問題。

Laine will need time to recover and some socialization with other dogs and basic training, but we are confident that she will soon find a loving home that she deserves.
Laine需要時間康復，之後要學習與其他狗狗社會化，也要進行基本訓練，不過我們很有信心她一定能找到值得的幸福新家。
