Young Stars New Taipei City's Best Kindergarten! The 2000 graduate class went on to enroll at Yu-Tsai Bilingual Elementary School, just a stone’s throw away.

Young Stars Kindergarten:A Truly Unique School

When Young Star Kindergarten first opened its doors at #11, Lane 74, Yu-Shi Street in 1994, it was one of the first All-Day English Kindergartens in Yung Ho City. Today, Young Stars stands out amongst all the other all-day English Kindergartens. It recently underwent a “facelift” of all its facilities. The school now boasts with a stunning new office and big multi-purpose activity room. We probably have the largest outdoor play ground area for a kindergarten in Yung-Ho City. It has a stage for school plays and performances. Students can ride tricycles and roller skate in the large playground, complete with beautiful flowers, trees and a fountain. These features alone make Young Stars a one-of-a-kind. Come take a virtual look at our school:

What makes Young Stars a truly great kindergarten is its philosophy towards teaching. The school aims to develop children on six areas of development; Language Developments, Cognitive Development, Most Skills Development, Creative Development, Social and Behavioral Development, and Independence and Self Development. The curriculum includes English conversation, Math, Science, Phonics, Reading, Writing, and Social Science. Twice a week, the kids also have Chinese lessons in the afternoon. This is done to ensure that Young Stars students’ Chinese remains on the same level as the other children who are enrolled at Chinese Kindergartens. Even with a full curriculum, the kids get time to do Art, sing songs, and of course get lots of time to play outside on the open-aired playground. This is the time when the kids have the chance to practice the skills they have learnt in the classroom. The kids at Young Stars are also treated to at least one field trip a month. This gives them the chance to learn about all sorts of interesting things outside of the school environment. At school it is the job of the foreign teachers and the Chinese assistant teachers to educate the children. They are not just responsible to teach the children western culture, but also the many traditions here in Taiwan. Another aspect of Young Stars that stands out is its close relationship with parents. Formally, parents have the chance to personally interact with teachers at the PTA meetings that are held once every semester. Parents are also kept up to date with everything by means of communication books and phone calls. Both the foreign staff and the assistants deliver reports on a daily and weekly basis. This way parents can keep track of their children’s development with ease. We at Young Stars always try to create a happy and informal but structured learning environment for our students. We recognize that kids needs lots of personal attention and love. It’s our goal to shape kids into people that are well adjusted and have a love for knowledge.

可以爬在樹上看遠處的風景;
可以在樹下舉行美麗的婚禮;
回首時仍能看見樹的張望;

"People cry for a reason. One of those reasons is to release excess stress during an intense event. A fall, a broken toy, the wrong color cup, wanting something that they can’t have — are all intense events for a child. When we lecture them about being selfish, rude, needy, whiny, ungrateful, or dramatic, we only push them further into feeling like something is wrong with them.

A young child’s brain is not developed enough to think outside of themselves. They can’t comprehend how world hunger relates to them wasting a meal that you prepared for them. They can’t make the connection between abstract ideas that they can’t see and experience themselves..."
