隨著越來越多國際教師與國際學生加入校園，國際化已不再只是政策目標，而是我們每天都在面對的真實校園生活。從課堂互動、行政服務到跨文化合作，如何超越表面的問候與接待，進一步建立理解、信任與共榮的校園文化，已成為高等教育的重要課題。

【Beyond “Hello”: What It Takes to Thrive in an Internationalized Campus】
【說完「Hello」之後呢？國際化校園中的理解與共榮】

特別邀請本校臺灣籍與國際籍教師共同主持，透過真實校園案例分享、經驗交流與互動討論，從不同文化視角探討跨文化理解、溝通與合作的實踐經驗，共同思考如何打造一個讓本地與國際成員都能參與、貢獻並共同成長的校園環境。

The Center for Language Studies will host the workshop “Beyond ‘Hello’: What It Takes to Thrive in an Internationalized Campus” on June 10, 2026 (Wed.) from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

As increasing numbers of international faculty and students become part of our campus community, internationalization is no longer simply a policy goal—it is a lived reality. Moving beyond greetings and hospitality, this workshop explores how we can foster deeper understanding, meaningful collaboration, and shared growth across cultures.

Co-facilitated by a Taiwanese faculty member and an international faculty member, the workshop will feature authentic campus experiences, multiple cultural perspectives, and interactive discussions that invite participants to reflect on what it truly takes for local and international communities to thrive together.

【英語演講比賽｜中正心『心』觀點 CCU Perspectives】

國立中正大學雙語資源推動中心於 5 月 22 日舉辦「中正『心』觀點」英語演講比賽。本次競賽別出心裁，將 Z 世代流行語（Gen Z Slang）融入演說主題，鼓勵學生結合日常生活經驗與數位社群文化，在「玩梗」的趣味中，磨練語言組織、邏輯思辨與觀點表達力，自信展現新世代的獨特創意。

三位校外評審對參賽者的表現給予高度肯定，特別讚賞參賽者能將「Delulu」、「Aura」、「Yapping」等流行語巧妙融入演講。參賽者透過細膩的個人敘事，以流暢的英語自然傳達觀點與想法，不僅展現穩健的台風與表達能力，也在舞台上充分展現語言魅力與創意思維，呈現中正學生的多元觀點。

從流行語到專業論述，英語不僅是工具，更是連接世界的橋樑。感謝每一位參賽者的投入，也讓本次競賽展現出新世代學生的語言魅力與多元思維。

【English Speech Contest｜CCU Perspectives】

The CCU EMI Resource Center held the “CCU Perspectives” English Speech Contest on May 22. Blending Gen Z slang with speech topics, the competition encouraged students to connect everyday experiences and digital culture with public speaking. Through the fun and creativity of “internet slang,” participants honed their language organization, critical thinking, and opinion expression skills, confidently showcasing the creativity of a new generation.

The three external judges highly praised the participants’ performances, particularly their creative integration of Gen Z expressions—such as “Delulu,” “Aura,” and “Yapping”—into their speeches. Through personal storytelling and lived experiences, participants naturally conveyed their ideas in fluent English. They demonstrated confident stage presence and strong communication skills, offering a vibrant showcase of the diverse perspectives and creative thinking of CCU students.

From slang to sophisticated discourse, English is more than just a tool—it is a bridge connecting us to the world. We extend our sincere thanks to all the participants for their dedication, making this event a meaningful showcase of language, critical thinking, and creativity.

【114 學年第二學期 EMI 觀議課活動紀錄統整】

本學期共辦理兩場 EMI 觀議課活動，感謝授課教師願意開放課堂，也感謝參與觀課的老師們一同投入交流與討論。透過走進彼此的教學現場，從課程設計、師生互動到 EMI 教學實踐，累積了許多寶貴的觀察與收穫。

美國華盛頓大學 Language & Culture STEP（Short-Term English Program） 將於 2026 年暑假期間開辦！

本課程為期三週，結合上午的英語課程與下午的西雅圖文化探索活動，是一個全方位的語言與文化沉浸式體驗。透過小班制英語學習、文化參訪與實地交流，參與者可在短時間內提升英語聽說能力，並深入了解美國校園生活與在地文化。

🌍 Want to improve your English skills and experience American life this summer?

The Language & Culture STEP（Short-Term English Program） at the University of Washington will be offered during summer 2026!

This three-week immersive program combines morning English classes with afternoon cultural exploration activities in Seattle. It offers students a valuable opportunity to improve their English listening and speaking skills, experience American university life, and gain a deeper understanding of U.S. culture within a short period of time.

Students from beginning to advanced English levels are welcome to apply. Classes are grouped by English level, and students will take a placement exam on the first day of the program.

Double occupancy: USD $1,335 per person

With an average class size of around 14 students, participants will have more opportunities to practice speaking English and interact with classmates.

✨ Morning English Classes + Afternoon Cultural Exploration
Students will study English in the mornings and take part in cultural exploration activities in Seattle in the afternoons. The program helps students practice English in real-life contexts while learning more about American culture. According to the UW program description, classroom activities may include interviewing Seattle residents, improving listening skills through U.S. films, and delivering group presentations on cultural topics.

Participants will have opportunities to interact with university staff, students, and the local community, gaining first-hand experience of American university life and cross-cultural communication.

國立中山大學雙語教育資源中心將於 115 年 6 月 24 日（三）至 6 月 26 日（五） 辦理 「2026 暑期 EMI 教師培訓營－E 夏就上手」，誠摯邀請有興趣精進 EMI 教學能力之教師踴躍報名參加！

本次培訓營為三天沉浸式密集課程，內容涵蓋 EMI 基本概念、跨文化溝通、教學設計、教材設計、授課語言等主題，並安排 15 分鐘教學演示，由 EMI 專家提供即時回饋，協助教師強化 EMI 課程設計與實務教學能力。

【 NSYSU 2026 EMI PD Summer Summit】

The NSYSU Resource Center for Bilingual Education will host the 2026 EMI PD Summer Summit from June 24 (Wed) to June 26 (Fri), 2026. Teachers who are interested in strengthening their EMI teaching skills are warmly invited to register!

This three-day intensive EMI event is designed to help faculty enhance their EMI teaching practices. The program covers topics including EMI key concepts, intercultural communication, lesson planning, teaching material development, and instructional language. Participants will also take part in a 15-minute microteaching demo and receive real-time feedback from EMI experts.
