Play with Dough: Playing with dough strengthens the hand muscles responsible for fine motor skills (and handwriting). Whether you attempt bread, make homemade play-dough, explore non-toxic slime or invest in the store-bought variety, the benefits are aplenty!

Did you also know that Ishmel (of grade 5) mercilessly beat his teacher in the battle of the better papier mache build? Congratulations young sir! The said teacher has vowed that while the battle might be won, the war is far from over.

The soon-to-be graduating class has embarked on a smorgasbord of workshops geared toward secondary school preparation and holistic student development. Thank you Mr. A. Peters for facilitating such engaging Papier Mache sessions!

Prepare Ahead: Pack school bags the night before to reduce morning stress. Ensure timetable is at hand when packing school bags. It fosters independence, which establishes self-discipline, a crucial skill for future academic success.

At the launch of the new school term, Trinity Junior School was graciously hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Museum for the incomparable exhibit, "David Rudder: A Contemporary Griot". We express our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Candice Jagan and her capable team for such an inspiring, culturally rich experience.

Use Active Learning: Use techniques like flashcards, drawing, or reciting information to make it engaging. Parents can create inexpensive flash cards using bristol board or for the techie parents, Google Forms, Wayground, Kahoot, Nearpod and other such web applications can be used.

“Being an educator, as they say in the vernacular, it ain’t easy, baby.” Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph has captivated audiences with her joy for decades, receiving her first Tony nomination in 1982 for her breakout role as Deena Jones in the original Broadway production of ‘Dreamgirls.’ Her ongoing portrayal of the no-nonsense kindergarten teacher Barbara Howard on the ABC sitcom ‘Abbott Elementary’ deepened Ralph's respect for educators. In 2022, she won her first Emmy for the role—just the second Black woman to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series—and has earned consecutive nominations since.
