We’re proud to recognize another one of our former students - Jovanni Ramsamooj who recently participated in the Women Parliamentarians of Trinidad and Tobago YES! Leadership Programme.

Jovanni served as Chief Whip on the Opposition Bench and represented the constituency of Arouca/Lopinot. She also shadowed the ministerial portfolios of Energy and Energy Industries and Public Utilities.
In addition, Jovanni was assigned to shadow the diplomatic mission of the British High Commission.

At the recently concluded Women Parliamentarians of Trinidad and Tobago's YES Leadership Parliamentary Debate we would like to recognize past student Tiara Bissessar who served as Minister in Public Administration and Artificial Intelligence and Member for Toco/Sangre Grande.
She was also assigned to shadow the Diplomatic mission of the Dominican Republic.

✨ Honouring an Extraordinary Leader ✨

Lakshmi Girls’ Hindu College recently came together to celebrate the remarkable career and retirement of our beloved Principal, Mrs. Sonia Mahase-Persad.

The morning was filled with heartfelt tributes, cherished memories, laughter, and appreciation as colleagues, students, family, and friends gathered to honour a leader whose unwavering dedication, compassion, and vision have left an enduring mark on our school community.

Throughout her years of service, Mrs. Mahase-Persad inspired generations of young women to strive for excellence, lead with integrity, and embrace every opportunity with confidence. Her commitment to education, her genuine care for every student, and her passion for nurturing both academic and personal growth have shaped the lives of countless individuals.

While we bid farewell to her as Principal, her legacy will continue to live on in the halls of Lakshmi Girls’ Hindu College and in the hearts of all those she has guided and inspired.

On behalf of the entire Lakshmi family, we extend our deepest gratitude for her exceptional service and wish her every happiness, good health, and countless blessings as she begin this new chapter.

In celebration of World Environment Day, the 𝑳.𝑨.𝑲.𝑬 club ( 𝑳𝒂𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒎𝒊 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔) took the initiative to promote sustainability by recycling paper products collected at our school. 🪷
