As I sit and reflect on this past year, I can’t help but give God all the glory.
When I started Aunty Kay’s Preparatory Academy, I had just one child. There were days when I cried, days when I questioned whether I had made the right decision, and days when I wondered if my dream would ever become what God had placed in my heart. But every time I felt like giving up, God reminded me that He had called me to this purpose, and He faithfully carried me through every challenge.
Today, I have completed the first school year with six beautiful children, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This may seem like a small number to some, but to me it is evidence of God’s faithfulness. Every child who walked through my doors was a reminder that God was building something special, one family at a time.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to my incredible husband, Shea Thomas, for standing beside me every step of the way. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me when I felt discouraged, and reminding me to trust God even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture.
A heartfelt thank you to Miss Amanda for all your support, and to Gabby, who stood with me on the very first day I opened my school and was also there on the last day of our first school year. That full-circle moment means more than you’ll ever know.
Thank you to Niomi for helping with the cupcakes, and a very special thank you to Miss Theresa, who became such a wonderful part of our school family. Your love, dedication, and support have been a tremendous blessing.
To every parent who entrusted me with your precious little ones thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my vision, and allowing me the privilege of being part of your children’s educational journey. Your trust is something I will never take for granted.
This year has taught me that faith isn’t about seeing the whole path it’s about taking the next step, trusting that God is leading the way. Looking back, I can honestly say that every tear, every prayer, every sleepless night, and every sacrifice was worth it.
To God be all the glory for bringing me this far. This is not the end it’s only the beginning. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for Aunty Kay’s Preparatory Academy in the years to come.
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
Here’s to new beginnings, greater growth, and continuing to nurture young minds with love, purpose, and God’s guidance. ❤️💚
