2) Strengthening student’s understanding of psychology as an academic discipline.

3) Illustrating how Psychology can be used as a means towards self and national development.

4) Organizing lectures, seminars, workshops and panel discussions designed to illustrate the importance and application of the discipline of Psychology.

5) Actively pursuing, by means of training, the proper conduct of programmes within the University which require a psychological point of view.

6) Supporting psychological research and advancement on campus and in the wider community. Since its inception, the members of the Association have kept as their focus the need for Psychology in our society. Our vision is to have psychology as an integral part of our society, improving the quality of life of its people. Psychology infiltrates the work environment to ensure the adequacy of the mental, emotional and even physical conditions of employers and employees, for example: Industrial Psychologists in the workplace make certain that workers are happy, comfortable and give all they can; Health Psychologists teach patients how a healthy body could lead to a healthy mind and Clinical Psychologists care for the individual man on the street. Our own education, however, is by no means over, as though we teach others how to improve their lives through Psychology, we continue to learn and hence encourage research that will only serve to aid us to help others even more. The things one learns from psychological readings and experiences can help to improve oneself. It is to this end that the Student Psychology Association continues to see educating people as a need, and use of Psychology as its vital purpose.
