There is a structured and calm way to prepare students for exams that boosts confidence and saves you and them from unnecessary anxiety.

If your child is in form 3 this is the conversation that needs to happen now. Form 5 is not a full year of school. If foundations are weak please do not wait for form 4 to seek help. The CSEC syllabus was designed to take two years.

What I See in Classrooms That Predicts CSEC English A Success | Krys-Darcelle Dumas Form 5 is not a year of school. It is six months. Five months of instruction against a two-year syllabus. If your child is in Form 3 or Form 4, this is the conversation we should be having now, not in May.

The Easter Reading and Robotics Intensive closed on April 10.

Two children. Seven instructional days. Structured literacy instruction every morning. Robotics every afternoon.

One child could not complete the spelling assessment on Day 1. He stopped at five words. Across the remaining six days he did not stop once. He pushed through every task. On Day 6 he picked up a book himself and read without being asked.

The tracker documents what happened. The report documents what happened. The child is reading words he could not read before this programme began.

Both children showed a profile consistent with dyslexia. Both families are now pursuing formal assessments. We did not wait for a diagnosis before beginning instruction. We assessed what we could assess and started teaching to what we found.

Both enrolled in the ongoing Sunday reading class. The work continues.
