When you come from hustle culture, rest feels like warfare.

Not because you’re lazy.
But because somewhere along the way, you learned that your value was tied to how much you produced, fixed, carried, and controlled.

So resting feels uncomfortable.
Surrender feels risky.
And slowing down can feel like failure.

But healing taught me that rest is not laziness — it’s trust. It’s releasing the need to control everything and believing that God is still moving, even when you are still.

That has been one of the hardest lessons for me as a leader, entrepreneur, and woman constantly trying to “hold it all together.”

But I’m learning that burnout is not a badge of honor, and obedience sometimes looks like pause. 🤍

What do you think about YOU?
And what areas do you need to work on so you can start producing fruit?
