World Su***de Prevention Day | September 10, 2026 🎗️
Every day, your life matters.

When life feels overwhelming, you don’t have to face it alone. Your experiences and emotions are valid, and reaching out for support is a courageous step.

You are not alone. You matter. Your life matters - today and every day. Support is available.

Breaking the Mental Health Stigma in the Caribbean. 🧠🤍

For many, starting therapy for the first time can feel unfamiliar or intimidating. Your therapy should fit you—your personality, needs, experiences, and pace.

• Highly Confidential
• Ethical Care
• Client-Centred
• Non-Judgmental
• Safe & Supportive Environment
• Individualised Care

It’s time to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health in Caribbean society.
Seeking psychological support is not something to be ashamed of. Your mental health deserves care, understanding, and support.

Freud’s theory reminds us that what is outside conscious awareness can sometimes resurface at the conscious level, influencing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.

His concepts of the id, ego, and superego offer a lens for understanding the inner conflicts that shape our psychological lives.

What we bury does not always disappear; sometimes, it finds a way to be experienced. 🧠

Back to school, with a gentle reminder: You are not alone. 📚📝

As you begin a new school year, remember that it’s okay to ask for help and talk about how you’re feeling.

Know you are not alone and you are deeply loved. Your emotional wellbeing matters. 🧠💙

Having walked alongside others through grief, while also experiencing the pain of loss on numerous occasions, I have learned that grief is deeply personal, yet no one should have to carry it alone.

There is no timeline for grief and no right way to grieve. Be gentle with yourself. Be patient with others. Sometimes, healing simply means learning to carry the love and the loss, one day at a time.

If you are grieving, please remember: you are not alone. It is okay to reach out, to speak, to cry, and to seek support. 🤍🕊️

September is Su***de Prevention Month. 🤍

Su***de prevention is more than responding to a crisis. It means recognising distress, reducing isolation, listening without judgment, strengthening connection, and helping people access appropriate support early.

If you are struggling, please reach out for professional psychological support. You do not have to face it alone.

Prevention begins before a crisis. Asking matters. Listening matters. Connection matters. Help matters. 🤍

A gentle reminder to every psychologist, counsellor, and mental health professional: 🤍🧠

In a profession where empathy matters so deeply, never forget that behind every story is a person who has entrusted you with a part of their life.

Let compassion meet competence. Let listening be intentional. Let all feel seen, heard, respected, and safe - without ever compromising professional boundaries, ethics, or confidentiality.

Our sensitivity is not a weakness. Our humanity is not something we need to leave at the door.

We can care deeply while remaining grounded, professional, ethical, and present.

May we never lose the passion that brought us into this work, or the humility to remember the privilege of being trusted with another person’s story. 🤍

Grateful to be with Beth-Rapha - PCTT on Day 2 with Scarborough Secondary School Ancillary Staf

Continuing the conversation on mental health, self-care, and community wellness - because every member of the school ecosystem matters. When we support one another, we create a healthier environment where staff, students, and the wider school community can belong, heal, grow, and thrive. 🌱
