Eileithyia Childbirth and Doula Services was created with the mission to achieve what our name implies. The name, Eileithyia (pronounced ‘ee-li-thee-ah’), belongs to the Greek goddess of childbirth and means ‘she who comes to aid or
relieve’. Time after time we see, women unprepared and unable to cope with the pains of labour, the exclusion of fathers from the birthing process and the lack of education about informed choices. In response to this we have designed an array of services that are aimed at assisting the couple or single parent through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
