Nearly 1 in 10 upper-secondary-school-age young people in Trinidad and Tobago are out of school.

That 9.8% is more than a statistic. It represents young people who may be missing structure, friendships, opportunities, qualifications and the confidence that comes from feeling connected to a learning community.

This is part of why Rent My Tutor exists.

We believe learning should remain accessible, supportive and relevant, especially for students who may be falling behind, disengaging from school or needing another pathway to keep moving forward. Behind that percentage are real children who may be missing lessons, friendships, structure and the chance to develop the skills they need for the future.

🤖✨ One of the proudest moments of our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 was watching our campers confidently stand before a large audience and share what they had learnt during their time with us.

For many of them, this was a remarkable transformation. When camp began, several were shy, reserved and hesitant to speak up. Fast-forward to graduation, and they were standing at the podium beaming with confidence, speaking clearly about their experiences, the skills they developed and what they enjoyed most about robotics camp.

These moments remind us that STEM education is about so much more than coding, robotics and technology. It is also about helping young people develop confidence, communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork and the courage to express their ideas.

We are incredibly proud of these campers for stepping outside of their comfort zones and showing everyone just how much they have grown. 💜

Our 2026 𝘚𝘛𝘌𝘔 𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱 was about so much more than building robots and writing code. It was about discovering talent, building confidence, showing character and giving our young people opportunities to shine. 💜
