Do you know that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder doesn't only occur in war situations? PTSD can occur after sudden loss of income, death or any traumatic event.

In this project, I am asking for persons who were either employed by PETROTRIN, temporary workers, subcontractors, suppliers, or business owners and employees in the Gasparillo, Marabella area as well as the rest of the country to tell your story.

The data will be compiled to form an emotional support system for persons who are experiencing similar situations such as the COVID-SAR2 virus and the layoff we are currently facing. This project seeks to develop an avenue to allow persons affected by the closure of the Petrotrin Refinery, to express their underlying emotional trauma to the wider community. The use of educative theatre methodologies to extract the root causes of the trauma from the individuals involved, then transition these into various arts mediums to create an exhibit of emotional state is planned. The of aim of this endeavor is to shine light on the emotional disposition of those who lost their employment as well as the effects on the surrounding businesses who were also affected by the reduced customer base leading to closure.
