👉 Dr. Michael Morris, DVM, MSc. PhD, FRCVS, Dipl.ECAR 👈
Dr. Morris has a DVM from the University of the West Indies School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, a Residency at the University of Cambridge in Food Animal Practice , passed his MRCVS and gained an MSc in Livestock Health and Production from the RVC in London, all in 2002. He has worked in private farm animal practice throughout the UK before winning a Wellcome Trust Fellowship to gain his PhD in Dairy Cattle Stress and subfertility at Leahurst, University of Liverpool in 2008. Subsequently, he returned to Trinidad as a lecturer in Reproduction and became an ECAR diplomate in 2012. He is also a recognised Specialist with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
His research is mainly in stress and reproduction, particularly, the effects of stressors such as lameness, endometritis and transportation upon ruminant fertility.
Dr. Morris has lectured widely in veterinary schools around the world. At present, he sits on the Examination Committee for ECAR. In 2023 he was awarded a Fellow of the RCVS on the basis of Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice, the first person from the Caribbean.
