Dr. Roopnarine will be fondly remembered for his quiet demeanour, witty smile, genuine personality, and unwavering dedication to the field of Dentistry. His contributions to the School and his commitment to teaching and patient care will be deeply missed.

Some highlights of last Friday’s lecture: we had the pleasure of listening to two superb lectures by our External Examiners of the School of Dentistry , The University of the West Indies, Trinidad.

The first was on adult orthodontic cases by Professor Grant McIntyre , Dean of the Dental Faculty at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Secondly, by Professor Nadim M. Islam from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology encountered in the USA.

The audience of not only undergraduates but dentists from all over the country were treated to top notch continuing education from world experts, which will, in turn, raise the quality of care provided to patients.
