This form 3 kid took some vacation classes with me to prepare herself for Form 4.
She is a great painter but admits to some drawing difficulties. We practiced still life drawing all holidays 🎨🫰

Adeebah's work on "Lines and Emotion". ✨️🎨
It is imperative that all students of art are knowledgeable of the Principles and Elements of Art and Design. This theory forms the foundation on which skill is developed.
For younger kids, it is necessary to envelope this theory in fun and practical activities.
In collaboration with at their location in Cunupia.
This was Adeebah's first class. She related different line formations to emotions she experiences. She used a host of art techniques; drawing, painting and layering/collaging, to create her line artwork that embodies her range of emotions.

The kids explored the northern lights and practiced oil pastel blending! This was such an exciting and rewarding activity for them! 🤩

Oil pastel activities! 🎨🤩
"Miss I can't believe that I was able to draw this!"
This is a late post, but during this week we explored oil pastels and colour blending. The kids absolutely loved it and are eager to continue working with the medium.

The Virtual Class did some warm up exercises with blind contour self portrait drawings! 🎨
The students were required to look at only their image on screen and not on the paper. In addition to this, they cannot lift the pen from the paper. This was such a fun filled activity which definitely brought out the giggles.

LET'S GO TURTLE WATCHING!
Just a little peek into some of our clay creations for the camp 🐢🎨
These kids absolutely crushed all of the camp activities. I'm so impressed with their ability to understand how to manipulate materials and techniques, all while ensuring they demonstrated simple theory that they learnt, such as elements of art.
This was an extremely fun activity which lead to lots of experimentation, giggles and creatively naming their new turtles.
