World Peace Day, or the International Day of Peace, is celebrated annually on September 21. It aims to strengthen the ideals of peace, both within and among nations. Established by the United Nations in 1981, the day encourages individuals, organizations, and countries to engage in activities that promote peace, such as discussions, educational programs, and community events. Each year, a theme is designated to focus attention on a specific aspect of peacebuilding, fostering awareness and action toward achieving a more peaceful world.🌍

The theme of this poster is 'Hands Across the World: Together for Peace and Unity.' It symbolizes the collective efforts of people from all walks of life, joining hands to support global harmony, compassion, and mutual respect. By embracing our differences and working together, we can build a peaceful world where understanding and unity triumph over conflict.

This year, for International Day of Peace, the Interact Club of Barrackpore West Secondary School is committed to spreading the message of unity, kindness, and understanding. Through our collective efforts, we aim to inspire our school and the wider community to embrace peace, celebrate diversity, and work together towards a harmonious future for all.
